A Not So Good Boat Trip

March 15th, 2011

One Summer day, me and my family went on a boating trip on the ocean to go fishing.

Me and my dad were paddling, and my mom was teaching my sister how to fish.

My sister caught something.  She pulled and pulled with all her might. Then it popped out of the water and had two fish on it!

Things were going crazy. Everything was out of hand. Then, things got really crazy when I saw a shark fin.

I screamed, “Shark!” Then we paddled for our lives.

When we got back to the dock, we had a panic. When the shark was gone, we went back out on the sea.

This time, my dad was only paddling.

My hand was in the water and I felt something rough, so I pulled it out and was a giant clam. It was huge, so I threw it back in the water.

It was such a long trip.

A Very Haunted House

March 14th, 2011

One night, I opened a door to a haunted house and saw a zombie!

The zombie was groaning, “Brains!”

I had to run, so I ran as fast as I could.

The zombie was catching up, so I ran faster and faster until I could not hear the zombie!

I had to rest, so I took a 5 minute rest.

When I woke up, I heard a sound. It was the zombie! So I started running again.

Then I found the exit, but a vampire bat bit me. It had rabies! But I was brave, so I grabbed that bat and hit it.

It was a big adventure for me.

(Dad’s note – This eye-ball-hangin’-out zombie is what you find when you open the door of the haunted house above.)

One Day I Got a Dog

March 13th, 2011

One Valentine’s Day, I heard a knock on my front door. When I opened the door, I found a little puppy wearing a red collar with a Valentine. The Valentine read…

This is a gift from your friend Zachary. I was so excited to have a new puppy, so I showed it to my mom.

She didn’t like it at all, so she told me to return it.

I told her that I always wanted a puppy.

She said, “Fine, but keep it away from me!”

I promised I would take good care of him. I fed him and took him on walks. I named him Spot.

So, I sent Zach a thank you note. The note said, “Dear Zach, thank you for such a nice dog. I named him Spot. Your friend, Lightsabersaurus.” I loved having a new puppy.

The First Gift of Christmas

March 12th, 2011

I was lucky enough to receive the first gift of Christmas from Santa Claus.  He gave me the Kirby’s Epic Yarn Wii game.

I felt excited about this gift. It is special because he gave it to me in person.

A Keep Safe Hat

March 11th, 2011

If I had a hat like Abe Lincoln, I would hide these special things in it.

First, I will put my Floppy Puppy from my Grandma in the hat. I had him for nine years.

Next, I am going to stuff my Diary of a Wimpy Kid book in my hat. It was a gift from my Mom.

Last, I will tuck my DS in my hat. It was my first very own game system.

I am glad I have a good big hat to keep my things safe in.

A Trip to the Duck Park

March 10th, 2011

One day, my grandma and me wet to the Duck Park in Edwardsville.

The had a seesaw and then I saw my friend, Henry. Me and him played on the seesaw, then after 25 minute, he had to leave. So we said goodbye to each other.

It was the best day at the park ever.

A Big Cold Journey

March 9th, 2011

As I sledded down the snowy hill, I started going faster and faster. Before I knew it, I was a snowball!

When I got out of the snowball, I was at the North Pole!

I went to see Santa, but Santa was busy making toys, so I helped. When the toys were made, I helped Mrs. Claus make cookies.

After that, I asked Santa to take me home and he said, “Yes.”

We cleaned up the sleigh. When the sleigh was all cleaned up, Santa took me home.

It was a big journey.

Lemonade for Sale Wanted

March 8th, 2011

I was walking through town, when I heard someone scream, “Lemonade for sale, lemonade for sale!!”

“I love lemonade!” I told myself.

But I was not thirsty.

But I had one anyway.

I am really full of lemonade.

The Better Nose

March 7th, 2011

The Better NoseOne night, Rudolph bumped into Prince Zuko. He burned his nose!

“Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!” Rudolph yelled, “That hurt!”

Then Prince Zuko disappeared into the night. But Rudolph was liking that nose. In fact, Rudolph was loving his nose!

But one day when Santa saw him… he just laughed.

Rudolph asked, “What’s so funny?”

Santa said, “Your nose!!!”

“But I like my nose, ” Rudolph said.

“Your nose can’t light up,” said Santa.

“Oh,” said Rudolph, “Well, I guess I’ll ask you to make it red again.”

“Very well,” said Santa, “I will make it red again.”

So Santa made his nose red again. Rudolph decided having an orange nose was fun, but having a red nose is best.

And so it begins

This blog is going to be a catalog of my son’s artwork.  For safety purposes, we’ll call him the Lightsabersaurus.

There will be an influx of artwork and stories over the next few weeks, then they’ll get posted weekly as they come home from school… or we find things around the house that he’s done.

If you like what you see or read, please leave a comment under that posting.

Thanks for stopping by.
